The Impact Hub Services

Pets are no longer an after-thought when it comes to meeting the needs of humans, they are an integral part of the majority of American families. Chattanooga is no exception – one need only take a walk downtown or through a local park to see residents enjoying the City with their pets. We estimate there are more than 14,000 pets living with their owners below the federal poverty line in Chattanooga. But In most of these neighborhoods, there are no veterinary offices, no pet supply stores, and no easy access to pet care resources.  We aim to change that.

This Center is located within Chattanooga City limits at 4001 Rossville Blvd. Chattanooga, TN 37407 and is NOT a new animal shelter.

Located inside the MetMin Impact Hub, the Center will bring pet food, supplies, and other critically needed pet owner support directly to those who would otherwise have no access to it.

The STEP TN program has multiple goals. It is designed to reduce the spread of bloodborne diseases, increase knowledge and testing for HIV and hepatitis C, reduce needle sticks among law enforcement officers who respond to an incident involving someone using injected drugs, and increase enrollment in drug treatment programs.

As part of those goals, STEP TN offers assistance to those who used injected drugs, such as infectious disease testing, vaccinations, and perhaps most importantly, resources to ensure that people are not reusing syringes.

Food Pantry

MetMin's on-site food pantry provides individuals and families with nutritious groceries in a welcoming, dignified environment. Through the generosity of our community and dedicated volunteers, we help ensure that neighbors facing food insecurity have access to the resources they need to nourish themselves and their families.

White Oak Bicycle Co-Op has expanded its longstanding partnership with Metropolitan Ministries to provide consistent, on-site bicycle repair services to support reliable transportation for individuals and families across the region.
