“I had been struggling with homelessness for a few months. I first reached out to MetMin back when they were on McCallie, and decided to contact them again to see if they could help. A case worker told me MetMin could assist with deposits, but I didn’t know they could also help with the first month’s rent. I had already found a place on my own, but I didn’t have the money because I was paying court fees to get my kids back. Thanks to the Housing Forward Fund, MetMin covered my first month’s rent and deposit and because of that, I was able to bring my kids home.”
