Goodbye, dear friend…

Today we said goodbye - again - to Peggy Lane. You would have loved her, too!
Her mantra was the Prayer of St. Francis: "Lord, make me an instrument of your peace." He did. Peggy's mark is all over this city. It's deeply etched in our hearts here at MetMin.
Here's just one great Peggy story.
When she rolled off our board, we threw a party in her honor and told her we'd love to have her family join the celebration. "Oh, honey, they're all busy and I don't want a big fuss. Now what can I bring?"
Of course, she didn't have to bring a thing, but that wouldn't do. She brought the cake for her own party! Red velvet, in fact, and deelish.
That's when we started the Peggy's Purse fund to support extraordinary client needs in honor of this extraordinary woman.
Since then, hundreds of our most vulnerable neighbors have received the help they had been praying for. A miracle! Seemed like it came out of nowhere. (Smiley face, Peggy!)
Her memory is a forever blessing. Our hearts and prayers are with Peggy's fine family. You matter.
